Three-way pulverized coal compensator expansion joint

Three-way pulverized coal compensator is a kind of compensator specially designed for pulverized coal conveying pipeline system, which can cope with the thermal expansion, cold contraction, vibration and special working conditions of pulverized coal pipeline during operation. This type of compensator has the ability to compensate displacement in three directions, namely axial (x-direction), transverse (y-direction) and angular (θ-direction), so it is called a "three-way" compensator.

Construction and Working Principle

The three-way pulverized coal compensator usually consists of the following main parts:

  • coupling tube: Used to connect piping systems.

  • sleeve: Provides structural support and displacement space.

  • Bellows: This is the core component of the compensator, made up of one or more layers of corrugations, capable of absorbing axial, lateral and angular displacements of the pipe.

  • Locating bolt: Used to install and preset the initial position of the compensator, which needs to be removed or adjusted to allow free displacement after installation is completed.

Three-way pulverized coal compensator is mainly used in pulverized coal conveying pipelines of coal-fired power plants, steel plants, cement plants and other industrial facilities, especially near boiler burners, as well as long straight pipe sections, to solve the problems of thermal expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes of pulverized coal pipelines, as well as complicated working conditions caused by vibration and pulverized coal characteristics.
