Installation requirements of thermal pipeline compensation devices

The installation requirements of thermal pipeline compensation device mainly include the following aspects:

  1. Installation location

  • The compensation device should be installed at the turning point of the pipeline, between the brackets, the secondary branch pipe and other positions that are prone to stress and deformation to ensure the compensation effect.

  • The installation location should consider factors such as the design of the pipeline, the range of temperature change and the amount of expansion and contraction.

  • Mounting Method

    • The installation method of the compensation device should be determined according to different pipe types, specifications and installation environments.

    • Factors such as how the pipe is supported, the length of corners and straight segments, as well as the type of compensator and how it is installed, must be taken into account.

  • Installation Points

    • The compensator should be consistent with the length direction of the pipe to ensure that it can compensate for expansion and contraction.

    • Installation must be firm and reliable, avoiding loosening or falling off.

    • The compensator should be matched with the support system of the pipeline to ensure that the compensator can withstand the load of the pipeline.

    • Ease of adjustment and maintenance should also be considered during installation.

  • Standards and Specifications

    • The installation of the compensation device shall comply with the requirements of relevant national standards, such as the Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Steel Pipeline Engineering (GB 50243), etc.

    • For directly buried thermal pipelines, the compensator installation should also follow specific standards and precautions, such as retainer setting, insulation material filling, etc.

  • Inspection and cleaning

    • Before installing the compensation device, the pipeline needs to be inspected and cleaned to ensure that the interior is clean and free of impurities and rust.

  • Support mode and load carrying capacity

    • The impact of the weight and load of the compensation device on the pipeline needs to be considered and ensured that no adverse effects are caused.

  • Regular inspection and maintenance

    • Compensation devices need to be inspected and maintained regularly during use to maintain good condition and eliminate faults and safety hazards in time.

  • Other special requirements

    • For compensators with inner sleeves, ensure that the direction of the inner sleeve is consistent with the direction of media flow.

    • For hinged compensators, the hinge rotation plane should coincide with the displacement rotation plane.

    • For compensators that need to be "cold tightened", the auxiliary components used for pre-deformation should be removed after the pipeline is installed.

    • It is prohibited to use metal corrugated compensators to adjust pipe installation tolerances so as not to affect function and life.

    • Prevent welding slag splashing and mechanical damage to the wave shell surface during installation.

These are the general requirements for the installation of thermal pipeline compensation devices, and the specific installation needs to be carried out in combination with the actual project situation and design documents.
