Have the required installation tools and equipment ready, such as wrenches, gas cutting equipment, strips, bolts, etc.
Removal of old skin: If you need to replace the old skin, first cut off the bolt assembly of the original non-metal expansion joint fastening skin with a wrench and gas cutting equipment, remove the pressure plate and the old skin, and store them in the designated location respectively. The pressing plates that can be reused should be marked in the order of re-installation.
Installation of internal skin cotton: First, install the internal skin cotton, distribute and set the heat insulation nails, then install other layers of heat insulation cotton in turn, and fix it flat with heat insulation nails. Make sure each layer is installed in the correct order and manner.
Skin outer mounting: Place the outer layer of the skin (such as silicone cloth) facing outward, around the part where the skin needs to be installed in the expansion joint, and join the two ends with the same margin. Butt layer by layer in order from inner layer to outer layer, then stitch. For the outer silicone cloth, there is no need to stitch, just apply skin adhesive on one side, and then cover the other side to bond.
Fixed skin: Press the ends of the skin with a press strip, and then bolt the skin to the metal frame of the non-metallic expansion joint. Ensure that the skin is securely secured without loosening.

Prevent damage: During installation, special attention should be paid to prevent heavy objects and sharp objects from scratching the skin, which is a kind of protection for non-metallic expansion joint skin products.
pipe axis: In the process of installing the skin, the pipelines on both sides should be kept on the same axis, and the deformation of the expansion joint cannot be used to directly judge whether there is an error in the pipeline.
Marking Direction: Check whether the marking direction of the upstream of the skin is consistent with the flow direction of the medium of the pipeline. If there is any inconsistency, correct it in time.
Disable Operation: It is prohibited to use the transport tie rod as the lifting force bearing member.
