Single straight pipe bypass pressure balanced expansion joint

Single straight pipe bypass pressure balanced expansion joint

Product Introduction

        1. Product Structure

Single straight pipe bypass pressure balance expansion joint is composed of two bellows elements, connecting pipe (or flange), head and balance structure with exactly the same geometric parameters. Its core design feature is that through the combination of bypass pipeline and balanced bellows, the internal pressure thrust bearing by the working bellows is converted into the external pressure load of the balanced bellows, so as to realize pressure self-balancing. Typical structures include:

  • External pressure bellows: Responsible for absorbing the axial displacement of the pipe;

  • Internal pressure balanced bellows: counteracting the thrust generated by the medium pressure;

  • Bypass guide structure: Separate fluid channels by partitions to reduce flow resistance.

        2. Functional Features

  • Pressure self-balancing: By balancing the bellows to offset the internal pressure thrust of the medium, the fixed bracket is avoided from bearing additional load, and the pipeline design is simplified.

  • Excellent orientation: Symmetrical bellows layout is adopted to ensure stable displacement absorption direction and reduce the risk of pipeline deflection.

  • Compact and lightweight: Compared with the duplex structure, the single type only needs two sets of bellows, which is smaller in volume and lower in cost.

  • High applicability: Suitable for high temperature and high pressure working conditions, can absorb axial displacement and protect pipeline equipment from thermal expansion and contraction deformation.

        3. Installation and use precautions

  • Pre-deformation treatment: Usually pre-stretched by 50% before leaving the factory, no additional adjustments are required for installation.

  • Directional requirements: The drainage port should be installed downward to ensure that the condensed water is discharged.

  • Removal of auxiliary components: Remove the small tie rod for transportation and fixation after installation is completed.

  • Stress testing: Clean water (chloride ion ≤25ppm) should be used for hydraulic pressure test, and the accumulated water should be emptied from the steam pipe network.

        4. Typical application scenarios

  • Overhead straight pipe section: Such as thermal pipe network and steam pipeline, compensate for axial displacement.

  • Space confined area: Suitable for complex pipeline layouts where fixed brackets are difficult to set up.

  • High hazard media: Ensure sealing safety when transporting flammable and corrosive media in chemical and metallurgical pipelines.

        5. Examples of models and specifications

  • Example Model1.6TPP600*5+5J, indicating a nominal pressure of 1.6MPa, a diameter of 600mm, two sets of bellows (5+5 layers), welded and connected.

  • Standard Reference: Complies with GB/T12777 standard, supports customized design (material, flange standard, etc.).

        sum up: Single straight pipe bypass pressure balanced expansion joint has become a cost-effective solution to solve the problem of pipeline thrust by virtue of its pressure self-balancing characteristics, especially suitable for scenarios where space is limited and bracket design needs to be simplified. The specific selection needs to be comprehensively evaluated in combination with media parameters, displacement and installation conditions.
