Corrugated expansion joint for power plant industry

Corrugated expansion joint for power plant industry

Product Introduction

        1. Product Overview

Corrugated expansion joint (also known as metal compensator, rectangular compensator) is the key flexible connecting component in the system of flue duct, thermal pipeline and other systems of power station. It is mainly used to compensate the pipeline caused by temperature change, mechanical vibration or geological settlementAxial, lateral, angular displacementAt the same time, it has the functions of shock absorption and noise reduction and equipment protection. Its core component is stainless steel bellows, which combines with external structural parts to form multi-dimensional compensation ability.

        2. Structural and technical characteristics

  • Compensation capacity
A single expansion joint can withstand two-dimensional directional displacement, and a toggle pipe consisting of two expansion joints can realize three-dimensional displacement compensation.

  • Material and Resistance:
Corrugated pipes are usually made of stainless steel (such as 304, 316L), which has the characteristics of high temperature resistance (up to 600℃) and corrosion resistance (especially for chloride ion and sulfur ion environment). Some special working conditions add anti-corrosion coating or guide tube to enhance wear resistance.

  • Connection mode
Support flange connection and pipe connection, adapt to different pipe interface requirements.

  • Pressure range
The standard pressure level is0.01-0.1 MPa, high-pressure scenarios can be customized to 2.5MPa.

        3. Core Application Scenario

  • Smoke duct system
Smoke and air ducts used for boilers, dust collectors and other equipment in power stations to compensate for thermal expansion and reduce the impact of vibration on equipment.

  • Pump import and export
Install in air conditioning pump, fire pump, feed water pump and other positions to absorb running vibration and prolong the life of equipment.

  • Nuclear power plants and thermal pipe networks
Adapt to high temperature and high pressure environment, and ensure the safe operation of nuclear reactor cooling system and steam pipeline.

  • Direct burial and trench pipeline
For the corrosive environment of soil or groundwater quality, the combined protection structure (double-layer bellows design) is adopted to isolate external media.

        4. Technical advantages

  • High reliability
Through design optimization and strict manufacturing process, the reliability99.8%(Failure cases are mostly caused by extreme corrosion or overpressure).

  • Easy to install and maintain
It does not require frequent adjustment and supports pre-deformation design (cold tightening technology) to adapt to complex working conditions.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND:
Meet the requirements of green power station construction and reduce the energy loss caused by pipeline stress.

        5. Selection and Criteria

  • Selection elements
Parameters such as pipe size, displacement, medium temperature/composition (such as chloride ion content) and installation environment (overhead/direct burial) should be combined.

  • Execution standards
In accordance with GB/T12777-2019 (Metal Corrugated Compensator) and JB/T12235-2015 (Non-Metal Compensator), some exported products meet international standards (e.g. ASME).
