In the pipeline design of petrochemical plant, the compensator often needs to consider the working conditions of high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, the thermal expansion of the pipeline should be considered in the design. When the pipeline system is not flexible due to the limitation of process operation conditions and equipment layout, the compensator can be used to absorb the thermal displacement of the pipeline, because the rotating compensator has strong compensation ability.
