Execution standards for metallic and non-metallic expansion joints

Both metallic and non-metallic expansion joints have their own specific implementation standards in their respective application fields.

For metal expansion joints, the main implementation standards include two national standards: steel metal expansion joints (GB/T 12777-2008) and non-steel metal expansion joints (GB/T 12779-2008). Among them, GB/T 12777-2008 is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of steel metal expansion joints, while GB/T 12779-2008 is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of non-steel metal expansion joints. In addition, according to the needs of different industries, there are some industry standards, such as the Design Code for Metal Expansion Joints (SY/T 0510-2017) for petrochemical industry and the Technical Specifications for Metal Expansion Joints in Nuclear Power Plants (HAF604-1985) for nuclear power industry.

For non-metallic expansion joints, the implementation standard is mainly JB/T12235-2015. The standard clarifies the definition, product classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of non-metallic expansion joints.

Please note that the above are just some of the main implementation standards for metal expansion joints and non-metal expansion joints, and the specific standards may vary depending on product type, application area, and regional differences. Therefore, in practical applications, it is necessary to determine and comply with the corresponding implementation standards according to specific products and use scenarios. At the same time, with the advancement of technology and the update of standards, it is recommended to consult the latest standard documents in practical applications to ensure product compliance and safety.
