Specification for use of electric flap doors

Electric baffle doors are widely used in industrial applications to control the flow of flue gases, gases, or particulate matter, especially in electric power, metallurgy, chemical, environmental protection and other industries. The specifications for the use of electric baffle doors involve many aspects such as installation, operation, maintenance and safety. Here are some basic usage specifications:

Installation Phase

  1. Preparation: Make sure all necessary tools and materials are in place before installation, and read and understand the installation guide and safety manual provided by the manufacturer.

  2. Positioning and fixation: Baffle doors and electric actuators should be installed in predetermined positions to ensure stability, level, and ease of operation and maintenance.

  3. Electrical connection: Properly connect the power and signal lines according to the specifications of the electric actuator for the baffle door, ensuring that the electrical connection meets the safety specifications.

  4. Commissioning and Calibration: After the installation is completed, debug to ensure that the baffle door can accurately respond to the control signal, and set the stroke limit to avoid over-opening or over-closing.

Operation Phase

  1. Operating Procedures: Operators should be trained to understand the operating principles and safety procedures of electric baffle doors.

  2. Monitoring and control: During operation, continuously monitor the status of the baffle door to ensure that it works according to the predetermined procedure and avoid the occurrence of abnormal conditions.

  3. Emergency shutdown: In case of emergency, stop the operation of the baffle door immediately and cut off the power supply to prevent further damage or accident.

Maintenance Phase

  1. Periodic inspection: Check the mechanical components, electrical wiring and actuators of the flapper door regularly to ensure that all components are in good condition.

  2. Cleaning and lubrication: Clean the inner and outer surfaces of the baffle door regularly to remove dust and dirt, and lubricate the moving parts to maintain smooth operation.

  3. Troubleshooting: Once any abnormalities, such as noise, vibration or performance degradation, are detected, the cause should be checked out immediately and appropriate repair actions should be taken.

Safety Precautions

  1. Personal protective equipment: During operation and maintenance, operators should wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety helmets, protective glasses, gloves, etc.

  2. Avoid physical contact: Avoid any part of the body from touching the baffle door or its drive mechanism during operation of the baffle door to prevent pinching or other injuries.

  3. Prevent misoperation: Ensure that only authorized personnel can operate the baffle door, and avoid unauthorized personnel accidentally touching the operation panel.

  4. Warning sign: Set up obvious warning signs around the baffle door to remind personnel to pay attention to safety and avoid approaching the operating baffle door.

  5. Emergency response measures: Develop an emergency response plan that includes how to act quickly in the event of a flapper door failure or accident to reduce loss and injury.

Following these usage specifications can ensure the normal operation of electric baffle doors while ensuring the safety of operators and equipment.
